Game in Tangiers to be against Raja Club Athletic

FC Barcelona’s friendly in Tangiers on July 28 will be against Raja Club Athletic and not a selection of Moroccan players. For reasons beyond the control of FC Barcelona, an agreement has been made to change the opponent, although the time, date and venue remain unaltered. So, the game will take place at the Grand Stade, Tangiers, on July 28 at 22.00 local time.

Three African Champions Leagues

Raja Club Athletic of Casablanca is the strongest side in Morocco, and has won the national championship ten times, for the last time in 2010. They have also won the CAF Champions League on three occasions as well as six Moroccan Cups. Last season, the club managed by Mohamed Fakhir finished fourth in the national league table.

FC Barcelona has not visited Morocco since 1974, when they won a friendly against W.A.C.
