The midfielder could make his 50th appearance for Barça this Thursday. Curiously enough, if the midfielder plays, it will be against Real Madrid, the team Barça battled for the Super Cup when Cesc made his debut
Cesc Fàbregas will feature in his 50th match for FC Barcelona if he plays in tomorrow’s Spanish Super Cup against Madrid. The midfielder made his debut for the first team on August 17, 2011, in the same competition and against the same rival. Cesc, who was involved in the decisive play that lead to Messi’s tournament-winning goal, lifted his first trophy at the Camp Nou.
His 49 games are distributed among the following competitions: 28 in La Liga, 9 in the Champions League, 8 in the Copa del Rey, 1 in the Club World Cup, 1 in the Spanish Super Cup and 1 in the European Super Cup. He scored in every competition, 15 goals in total, with the exception of the European Super Cup.
