The Barça B defender, who was named to the team against Benfica, has spent his whole career at FC Barcelona

Barça TV has followed Carles Planas’ progress ever since he joined the Club’s U10 (Benjamín) team. The Catalan has played in every youth team for Barça and this Wednesday he was named to the senior side by Tito Vilanova ahead of the Champions League match against Benfica. The 21-year-old defender realized his dream of debuting for the first team last week, in the Cup against Alavés.
