Speaking in Brazil at the presentation of the Fundació FC Barcelona “FutbolNet” project, Juliano Belletti expressed his optimism about the team’s options under new coach Tito Villanova “it’s good that someone who knows the team and what’s been happening is in charge now. It’ll be tough to keep up the run of titles and although people will make comparisons, the base of the team is the players and they will still be there which will be a great help for Tito Vilanova”.
Belletti was full of praise for Pep Guardiola, referring to his 14 titles won in four years: “what he has done will live on forever”.
L’èxit d’Espanya, gràcies al Barça
Belletti also stressed the importance of the Barça players in Spain’s recent Euro 2012 success: “if it wasn’t for the Barça playersm the Spanish team wouldn’t be what it is today. If they can take the 2014 World Cup, they will have to be recognised as the best ever international team ever. They are a great group who play wonderful football”.
