FC Barcelona will appeal the red card shown to Tito Vilanova during the match against Osasuna. Barça have until 14.00 on Tuesday to file a written appeal.
According to the referee’s post-match report, the FC Barcelona manager was shown a red card by Muñiz Fernández “for angrily protesting a play during the match after being warned by the assistant referee.” In the post-match press conference Vilanova stated that he had voiced his opinion to the assistant referee in a play involving Busquets. When the assistant referee told the manager to not protest the no call, Vilanova replied: “I’m not protesting, I’m simply saying that it’s a foul.”
