PSG coach Carlo Ancelotti has given a press conference today in the company of Argentine midfielder Javier Pastore. Paris Saint-Germain play tomorrow in the first edition of the Trophée de Paris (19.45) against FC Barcelona, their last game before starting the French league season. This will be the third friendly of FC Barcelona’s own preseason after already beating Hamburg (0-1) and Raja Club (0-8).
The best team in the world
Carlo Ancelotti has no doubts. This will be anything but an easy game for PSG: “We are playing against the best team in the world. They have the best players in the world and this will be a huge test for us”. The Italian manager of the French outfit admits that Barça “have set a standard to follow” but is also confident of his own team’s strengths, and especially those of Ibrahimovic, who he claims is “one of the best centre forwards in the world, if not the best”.
Messi for sure
Javier Pastore also commented on the new signings PSG have made this season, especially Ibra and Thiago Silva. “They will add to our level” he said, while on Leo Messi, his international team-mate, Pastore spoke clearly and confidently. “Messi will win the Ballon d’Or” he said. “He is the best in the world and he’s getting better and better”.
