The team trained this afternoon at the Ciutat Esportiva along with Barça B. Last night’s starters against Real Madrid focused on recovery work, and Dani Alves and Puyol trained apart from the group.
Dani Alves, who missed yesterday’s match at the Santiago Bernabéu due to injury, underwent medical tests this afternoon. The tests confirmed that the player does not have a muscle injury, but he does have an edema in the femoral biceps of his left leg. The player’s recovery will mark his availability for this Sunday’s Liga match at the Camp Nou against Valencia.

On the other hand, the good news of the day is that Thiago Alcántara was given the medical all-clear to return to competitive play. Three months after his tibia injury, which kept him from the London Olympic Games, the Club’s Medical Services declared the player fit to play with the first team.
