Barça had a pre-lunch training session today at the Camp Nou ahead of this evening’s Copa del Rey semi final second leg against Real Madrid. All 23 players were able to work out normally on a very cold day in the Catalan capital.
The Clásico is always a special match, and even more so when there’s a spot in the Cup final up for grabs. FC Barcelona will provide 90,000 flags for Club members and fans that come to the Camp Nou to watch the showdown between FC Barcelona and Real Madrid. The flags, which are made of fabric, display the Barça shield surrounded by blue and red and the Catalan Senyera.
Stats show that Real Madrid don't work the ball as much, but they are more direct. Between the Liga and Copa del Rey, FC Barcelona have scored 24 more goals than Madrid. The fifth Clásico of the season will see two teams battle it out for a chance to win the Copa del Rey. FC Barcelona, comfortable league leaders, and Real Madrid, Liga holders, will face off in the return leg of the Copa del Rey semifinal in a clash of differing football styles.
