The Chilean is now the team’s third highest provider alongside Cesc, with 10 assists behind Iniesta and Messi, with the Spanish midfielder on 18 and the World number One on 15.

The man who has benefited most from Alexis’ assists has been Leo Messi, who has scored from 6 chances laid on by the Chilean, with Cesc (2 – against Mallorca), Alba (1 –against AC Milan) and Thiago (1- against Zaragoza) scoring from the others. Alexis has provided 5 assists in the league, 4 in Europe and 1 in the Cup. The figures are especially notable because Alexis has played just 2,214 minutes compared to Messi’s 3,870, Iniesta’s 2,928 or Cesc’s 2,682.
