19 FC Barcelona players will be flying to Madrid on Wednesday to face the old rival in the semi finals of the Copa del Rey. The unfit Abidal, Muniesa and Dos Santos all miss out, as do the dropped Tello, Cuenca and Montoya. Before the game, Jordi Roura will have to strike one further name off the list.
The main change is the return of Gerard Piqué, who missed the Liga fixture with Osasuna through suspension.
Training session
Before announcing the side, Jordi Roura held the last training session before Wednesday’s clásico at the Ciutat Esportiva. The team departs for Madrid on the day of the match at 11.00 am, with the game kicking off at the Santiago Bernabéu at 21.00. The players will be returning to Barcelona immediately after the game finishes.
