FCB Escola prepares to hold summer training camps in the United States

With the goal of bringing the philosophy, methodology and the Club’s values to the children of the United States, FCB Escola is preparing to launch more than 14 football camps in different American cities. The children of the the US, who will be coached by Azulgrana managers, will get a first-hand experience of what it feels like to be a Barça player.

Football camps in nine cities

FCB Escola plans to hold training camps in some of the biggest US cities. Here’s FCB Escola’s summer schedule: Orlando (18-22 and 25-29 of July); Los Angeles (9-13 of July and 6-10 of August); Fort Lauderdale (9-13 and 16-20 in July); New York City (16-20 June); Portland, Oregon (16-20 July and 20-24 August); Miami (23-27 July and July 30 through August 3); San Antonio (August 30 through August 3); San Jose (6-10 August) and Seattle (27-31 August).

It’s estimated that 3,500 children from all over the world will participate in FCB Escola’s US football camps this summer.

Humble beginnings

Two years ago, FCB Escola only had a football camp in Miami. Since then, FCB Escola has 10 locations across the country. The project in Miami, in 2010, had a total of 325 children participating in the Club’s training regiment. The rate of participation has gone up 825%  in two years and the number of children in FCB Escola camps has jumped to 3,500. This significant increase demonstrates the passion that American children have for the Club and it’s a reflection of the good work that FCB Escola is doing in the United States.
