FC Barcelona unveiled the 14 summer camps being run by FCBEscola in the States this summer in an event held in New York on Friday and attended by Club Presidential aide Juan José Castillo, US FCBCamps coordinator Franc Carbo and ex-player Rafa Márquez.
Marquez, who currently plays for the NY Red Bulls, but remembers with much pride his time at the Club, stressed what a great opportunity the camps were for the youngsters involved: “the American kids have a great opportunity to learn the best football from the best club in the world”.
Franc Carbo, explained that particular attention was going to be paid to the Club’s philosophy and values: “our training will be split into two main areas: the first dealing with tactics and technique, where we’ll be looking at all areas of the game and the second, really the most important, where we will be trying to transmit the values and philosophy of FC Barcelona.
