FCB Escola closed out the season this Saturday with an end-of-year party. Throughout the morning there were a total of 16 matches played by 350 children, divided up into 32 teams of 7. The facilities of the Ciutat Esportiva hosted four games simultaneously every hour. Once the games came to an end, the end-of-year closing ceremony started.
Diplomas
While the parents looked on from the stands of Field 1 at the Ciutat Esportiva, the children and the managers of FCB Escola came out onto the pitch, where the children were given a diploma signed by a first-team player. Each team carried a banner that read “team spirit, solidarity and respect” (which are FCB Escola’s values) as they came out onto the pitch.
Isaac Guerrero, coordinator of FCB Escola, and the director Javier Faus attended the closing ceremony. “We’re very pleased with the event that has gathered so many families, managers and children together,” said Guerrero. The handball goalkeeper, David Barrufet, was also present.
