The first FCBEscola in Europe opened for its first day of classes in the presence of 2,000 people.

Deal to set up four centres in Polish capital signed in September.

The Warsaw FCBEscola has begun to receive its first students who will start to train using the Barça method. The school opened last Friday, with 2,000 attendees, including parents and students, determined not to miss a single detail of the first FCBEscola in Europe.

The Warsaw school is the first in Europe, following similar openings in Fukuoka (Japan), Dubai (UAE), Egypt, Kuwait and Lima (Peru), which are already up and running. The deal to open the FCBEscola in Warsaw – which will have four centres and train up to 1,000 students – was signed on September 8th 2011 and was attended by the Director General of the FCBEscola Xevi Marcé and the Barça ex-player Julio Alberto. The agreement is backed by the Polish Government, the Polish Olympic Committee and the Polish Football Federation.
