The jump to Segunda División A
At the young age of 17, Grimaldo was promoted to the Barça B side after playing most of last season with Óscar Garcia’s Juvenil A team (U-18). Now, however, he’ll get the chance to play in Segunda Divisón on a regular basis with Eusebio Sacristán.
Grimaldo will fight for a spot on the starting team with Carles Planas. Despite being new to the team, the player already made his Segunda División debut last season, in the match the pitted Cartagena against Barça B - the Catalans won the game by 4 to 0.
Tello, the last player to arrive
With the addition of Grimaldo to Barça B’s training sessions, Sacristán can now call on nearly all of his players. The only player yet to join the team is Tello, who will do so in the coming days after Spain was eliminated from the London Olympic Games by Honduras.
