The Barça B manager, who will be without six of his players this Saturday, expects the match against Guadalajara to be "uncomfortable"
The Barça B players are eager to play this weekend’s Liga Adelante match against Gudalajara after claiming their first victory of the season last week, against Sabadell. However, Eusebio Sacristán expects the match to be a difficult one. “The players were reinforced after last week’s victory but we’re going up against a very solid Guadalajara. Guadalajara are a disciplined side and it will be a difficult match,” said the manager after the team’s final training sessions before their trip to Guadalajara. “We have to have personality, we have to impose our style of play,” he added.
Barça B to travel to Guadalajara without key players
The reserve side will travel to Castilla-La Mancha without six of its players, three are away with the U21 Spanish national team and three are injured: “we have a large roster and all the players will get their chance to play,” said Eusebio.
The manager has named the young U18 Cameroon national, Franck Bagnack, to the team to shore up Barça B’s defence. “Bagnack is ready. He trained with us during the pre-season and he trained with the team this week.”
Congratulations to Deulofeu, Puyol is the example to follow
In the pre-match press conference, Eusebio also talked about Carles Puyol and Gerard Deulofeu. After training alongside the first team this week, the manager said that Puyol should be the example his players should follow. “Puyol trains with such incredible intensity and eagerness, he’s an example for all of us.”
The Barça B manager went on to congratulate Gerard Deulofeu for making his debut with the U21 Spanish national team. “The players are happy for Gerard, he deserves it,” said Eusebio.”
