Eusebio Sacristán’s side will play on Wednesday August 8 against English side Huddersfield Town, two days before another friendly with Bolton
It has been confirmed that Barça B will play a second friendly while in Britain. It will be on Wednesday August 8 against Huddersfield Town FC at 20.45 (19.45, local time), just two days before the game at Bolton.
Back in the Championship
The side from West Yorkshire, managed by Simon Grayson, has just returned to the second tier of English football, The Championship, after beating Sheffield United on penalties in the play-off final at Wembley. The ‘Terriers’ play at the award-winning Galpharm Stadium, completed in 1994 and with the capacity for 24,500 spectators.
Huddersfield haven’t played top flight football since 1972, but in the early 20th century were one of the biggest teams in the country. In 1926, they famously became the first club to be crowned English champions three times in a row, a feat that has been equalled by three other clubs since, but never bettered.
Barça B will play their first game of the preseason this Sunday against Palamós (19.00).
