After yesterday's training session with the first team, Masip and Bañuz returned to the reserve side
Gustavo Ledes and Pol Calvet, however, trained apart from the group
Barça B’s newest additions, Agostinho Cá and Edgar Ié, who signed their contracts with the Club this Friday, joined the team for this morning’s training session. This was Cá’s first contact with his new teammates but, Ié, who is still recovering from injury, watched the session from the sideline. Masip and Bañuz also returned to the reserve side after participating in the first-team’s session on Friday.
The Barça B players that are with the first team - Sergi Roberto, Oier, S. Gómez, Ilie, Rafinha, Planas and Kiko Femenía - also missed this morning’s session.
Ié is recovering from a fracture to the fifth metatarsal in his left foot and, therefore, was not able to participate in today’s training session. After extensive medical tests, the Club’s medical services will unveil the recovery plan for the Portuguese player on Monday. Despite his injury, the player watched today’s training session in its entirety from the sidelines.
Apart from Ié, two other Barça B players trained apart from the group: Gustavo Ledes and Pol Calvet. Ledes is recovering from a muscle injury and is expected to return to full form in the next couple of days. The Juvenil A player, however, joined his teammates before his scheduled return in an attempt to recovery from a hamstring injury. It’s worth mentioning that Jordi Vinyals will start training on Tuesday, July 24.
In addition, Eusebio Sacristán expects Gerard Deulofeu, who won the U19 Euro Championship in Estonia last week, to return from holiday on Monday.
