President Sandro Rosell played host to Homare Sawa, FIFA Player of the Year 2011, in the dignitary box at the Camp Nou for the match between FC Barcelona and Real Sociedad. Rosell, who watched the match between Barça and Inac Kobe Leonessa, which was played last Wednesday at the Miniestadi (1-1), welcomed Sawa to the stadium minutes before kickoff.
It’s worth mentioning that Inac Kobe Leonessa, reigning champions of their domestic league, is in Barcelona on a pre-season stage before their new season. This Monday the Japanese players will join up with the Barça women’s team, current champions of the Superleague, to play a match agains FC Barcelona’s first team at the Ciutat Esportiva.
