62 consuls from the Barcelona Consular Corps were hosted this afternoon by President Sandro Rosell and the Board of Directors at the Camp Nou's Sala París

This Monday afternoon the Board of Directors, led by president Sandro Rosell, hosted the Barcelona Consular Crops at the Camp Nou. The Barcelona Consular Crops represents countries from America, Europe, Africa and Asia. The meeting started with a group photo at the base of the grandstand of the stadium. Immediately after, the Board and the 62 consuls went to the Camp Nou’s Sala París for the official meal between the delegates and the Board members. FC Barcelona’s institutional vice president, Carles Vilarrubí, was the designated Board member to welcome the attendees to the stadium.
During the meeting President Sandro Rosell thanked the Consular Crops for their attendance and he explained that FC Barcelona’s objective “is to increase the ties with the countries that are represented in Barcelona, especially with those that have special bonds with the Club, through the Foundation; countries that have some of their citizens playing for the team.” Rosell also stated that “our desire is to deepen ties with our followers around the world and make them active participants in how we do things and who we are. We are aware that Club is a strong ambassador for Catalonia to the world and we have the responsibility of a country on our shoulders.” The president reiterated his gratitude to the consuls for “helping us extend the Barça feeling to your lands and for telling people who we are and what we represent.”
The Dean of the Consul Corps and Consul General of the United States to Barcelona, Greggory Crouch, also addressed the assembly. The Consul General highlighted the convening power of FC Barcelona: “I’ve never seen so many Barcelona consuls gathered together in the same place.” Mr. Crouch went on to praise the values that the Club promotes around the world.
