Kyle Maynard: “We learn when we face a challenge”

On Sunday Maynard met the first team players, on Monday he visited the Masia and this Wednesday he explained his view of life and his personal goals to Barça TV and the Club website. Maynard, 26, is a congenital amputee, but is one of the world’s most admired sportsmen and he believes: “sport is a great metaphor for life. It shows us what we are and we can use it in many settings”.

According to the author of the book No Excuses: “We cannot use excuses for life’s big events. We learn when we test ourselves. The challenges we face in life are the most important things”.
