FC Barcelona has the best website of all the clubs involved in this season’s Champions League according to a new study, with www.fcbarcelona.com leading the ranking with 93 points out of a possible 100, one ahead of last year’s winner Manchester City.
The results of the study, carried out by the communication agency Departamento de Internet, were obtained via the Heuristic Evolution Guide of the clubs’ webs, which establishes a number of possible variables – objectives, URL friendly, user orientation, look and feel, logo and slogan, language and writing, structure and navigation, memory overload, layout and multimedia. FC Barcelona obtained the highest mark of all the webs in nine of these ten categories.
Only semi-finalist in the Top-10
Of the four semi-finalists in last year’s Champions League, FC Barcelona have the only website in the top ten positions, with finalists Chelsea and Bayern Munich in 12th and 13th places and Real Madrid down in 23rd spot. Curiously enough, the only other team from La Liga in the top ten is Malaga – making their Champions League debut this season, with Valencia in 11th place.
