FC Barcelona is working together with Gamelab, a videogame and interactive leisure fair, to strengthen the development of official mobile applications

FCB’s board member responsible for New Technologies, Dídac Lee, told us, “We’re attending this fair to establish business contacts with companies and developers in the videogames industry”

The FCB Apps Programme is taking shape and FC Barcelona has over a hundred proposals on the table. After a process of evaluation and selection, the best will become official Club Mobile Apps for next season. FC Barcelona is currently attending videogame and interactive leisure fair Gamelab in Barcelona. The intention is to strenthen the FCB Apps Programme and learn about the work of the world’s best developers in interactive leisure.

Dídac Lee, added, “It also gives FC Barcelona the chance to attract more proposals in the world of videogames, where there is an opportunity to create many entertainment applications for our members and fans”.

The FCB Apps Programme was initiated in February and proposals will be accepted until the end of the year. Lee told us that the Programme, which already has a hundred proposals, had been well received: “Among all the proposals received to date we have pre-approved three. They’re related to leisure and education and will see the light of day after the summer”.

Proposals for the FCB Apps Programme must be original and innovative and should create a link with the Barça fan.
