As far as Dídac Lee is concerned, the launch of the new FC Barcelona Chinese website “is the best way to make contact with the Club’s Chinese fans. China is a country where football is beginning to grow and there are a growing number of fans and Barça are the country’s favourite team”.
Mr Lee also referred to the importance of the agreement signed with China’s main Internet provider, Tencent, to launch the Club’s website in China: “the most efficient way to enter China is with a Chinese partner and Tencent is one of the world’s most important Internet companies – we will have a great result!”.
Dídac Lee expressed the satisfaction of the board by saying that “Barça is a Club which is increasingly becoming globalised. We are reaching out to more and more countries, which makes us feel really proud. The best way to do this is through new technologies”.
Villa very loved in China
David Villa is the star of the video being used to launch the Club’s Chinese website across the world: “Villa is one of the players who has most fans in China. The Chinese really appreciate players who are natural and show themselves to be humble and hard working. They are values which fit in well with Chinese culture, but that’s not true just of Villa – we could say the same of any of the first team players”, explained Mr Lee.
