FC Barcelona and Ludovic Fàbregas have reached an agreement for the Frenchman to join the handball squad from this August until 30 June 2030. The Perpignan born pivot returns to Barça for his second spell after having been a blaugrana between 2018 and 2023.

Fàbregas has been with Hungarian club Veszprém for the last two seasons and now come back to the Palau with the intention of adding to the 29 trophies he won in his first spell as a Barça player. The pivot is well remembered by Barça fans as he scored a vital penalty in the final of the 2021/22 Champions League against Kielce.

The new Barça signing remains one of the top talents in the sport having scored 140 goals for Veszprém in the Champions League over the last two seasons and having helped the team to two domestic league titles.

The 28 year old pivot has been a fixture in the French national side for over a decade and is now captain. Fàbregas has represented France in European Championships, World Championships and Olympic Games.
