Barça v Mallorca: Farewell for now Spotify Camp Nou

Barça want to say farewell for now to the Stadium with a win in front of the fans in the final home game this season

The verse, "no és un adéu per sempre, és un adéu per un instant" ("this is not goodbye forever, it's farewell for now") from the poem, L'hora del adeus, is a perfect fit for this Sunday's game. FC Barcelona take on Mallorca at 7pm CEST in the final game at the Spotify Camp Nou as we have come to know and love it. The stadium will play host to both the game and what is likely to be an emotional farewell to Spotify Camp Nou for every culer.

Throughout its 66 years of history, the Stadium has been the stage for countless experiences and anecdotes, which this Sunday's celebration aims to commemorate. With the tag-line "Full of history, full of future", FC Barcelona fans are set to experience a nostalgic moving day for everyone. In fact, match-goers have a key role to play in the day's proceedings. The Club has called on every member and fan at the match to come wearing Barça colours and to put on their shorts and scarves when the players come out onto the pitch to create a huge blaugrana mosaic.

There will also be activities outside the ground, the playing of a recording of the announcement of the first eleven ever to take the field at the Camp Nou, half-time shows including a performance by Lildami, and tributes after the match, such as the farewells to Sergio Busquets and Jordi Alba.

Let's not forget that this will also be the last game ever played on the pitch at the stadium in its current form. Xavi Hernández' men take on Mallorca (kick-off 7.00pm CEST) in a game where Barça will want to say farewell for now to the Spotify Camp Nou with a win in front of the fans in the final home game, whereas Mallorca will be fighting for the three points to have a chance of playing European football next season.

Xavi calls up the entire squad

None of the squad wants to miss the final game at the current version of the Spotify Camp Nou, so Xavi has called up every available player, namely Ter Stegen, Sergio, O. Dembélé, Lewandowski, Ansu Fati, Ferran, Iñaki Peña, Christensen, Marcos A., Jordi Alba, Kessie, S. Roberto, F. De Jong, Raphinha, Kounde, Eric, Balde, Gavi, Pablo Torre, and Arnau Tenas. Only the injured Pedri and Araujo will miss the game.

Mallorca dreaming of European football

The team from the Balearic Islands are currently in eleventh position, but are only three points from seventh place and a place in the Conference League next season. Javier Aguirre's men will be looking to earn as many points as they can from the final two league games, including against FC Barcelona.

Barça are usually a tough proposition at the best of times, but Mallorca are also up against it themselves with up to six players out, with injuries to Nastasic, Augustinsson, Iñigo Ruiz de Galarreta and Raillo, and suspensions for Antonio Sánchez and Kang-In Lee.
