UE Cornellà 4-3 Barça Atlètic: Late defeat

Tight game and plenty of goals, but the reserves and up losing due to an 85th minute penalty

Barça have lost an intrepid derby in Cornellà despite going ahead three times in a crazy game.

Estanis Pedrola opened the scoring early with a delightful solo goal, finding his way through the home defence and tucking the ball away beautifully. But within two minutes, Álex López levelled up for Cornellà.

Another brilliant move led to the second Barça goal, this time converted by Luismi Cruz with a deft left-footed strike. But once again it only took two minutes for the scores to be back even, this time as a result of a Vega own goal.

Back to the drawing board, and this time it was an excellent team move that ended with Carbonell assisting Víctor Barberà to make it 3-2 after just 23 minutes.

Cornellà came out with new verve in the second half and Barça had done well to keep them from scoring until Tavares was on the end of a veritable pinball moment in the 58th minute to make it 3-3.

The home side were now on top and it took some top work from goalkeeper Arnau Tenas to prevent them from going ahead. That was until the 85th minute when Cornellà were awarded a late penalty and Francesc Fullana put it awat to leaves the Barça reserves empty-handed.
