Víctor Sada will not continue as part of the coaching staff of Barça's first basketball team once his contract ends on 30 June. After two seasons as assistant to the head coach, Sada will not be part of the project for the upcoming 2025/26 season.
The club wishes him all the best both personally and professionally, and thanks him for his dedication and professionalism.
Career in youth basketball and the first team
Sada retired from professional basketball in the summer of 2018 and has since pursued a coaching career. He worked with the U16B team as assistant to Ferran Anguera, and also with the Junior and Barça Atlètic teams as assistant to Mateo Rubio and, between 2021 and 2023, to Roger Grimau.
Over the past two seasons, he has served as one of the assistant coaches with the first team, under Roger Grimau in the 2023/24 season and Joan Peñarroya in the most recent campaign.
A life at Barça
Víctor Sada is a product of Barça, both as a coach and, above all, as a player. He rose through all the youth ranks, from U14 to the first team, where he played for a total of nine seasons across two spells (2003–06 and 2008–14), winning 19 titles. He also played with Barça Atlètic in the LEB Oro during the 2016/17 season.
