Mirotic back on court after 165 days

Barça's captain returns to the court for the game at Alba Berlin, scoring 19 points

Not just any return from injury, the captain is back. Nikola Mirotic was named in a squad for Barça for the first time in 165 days since his last competitive game, the Liga Endesa final against Real Madrid on 19 June 2022.

He is a key player both on and off the court, given all his experience and leadership. The MVP of last season's EuroLeague, he averaged 16.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and got a 19.4 rating from an average 24 minutes per game that enabled Barça to end the regular phase in first place.

An Achilles tendon injury kept him sidelined him for over five months, meaning Mirotic missed nine Liga games, 10 EuroLeague games, and two Super Cup games.

Tremendous return

Saras Jasikevicius decided to include him in the squad for the game against Alba Berlin. Mirotic responded by returning to the court with a great game in the 86-88 win. The Barça captain was in play for 21:54 minutes, top scoring for the Club with 19 points. He also grabbed six rebounds, gave two assists, and made three recoveries. A tremendous return, with a rating of 29.
