Barça 84-58 Zenit: Exhibition stuff

Saras Jasikevicius' team record their fifth win in the Euroleague with an excellent performance at home

Five out of five in the Euroleague as Barça keep up their form in the competition with an excellent 84-58 win over Zenit. A complete performance from Saras Jasikevicius' team who dominated the encounter from start to finish. Prior to the game there was also a tribute to the 2010 Euroleague winning side in Paris.

Inconsistent start

The two teams both began the contest tentatively on offense before the blaugranes finally clicked into gear and led 20-19 at the end of the first quarter. In the second the home side took control of the encounter as they surged into a lead of 32-21 after 14 minutes. That advantage stretched to 44-27 by half time.

No let up

Eight unanswered points at the start of the third quarter only served to underline Barça's superiority. Mirotic led the team on offense and at the end of the third quarter the lead stood at 66-41. In the final 10 minutes the blaugranes maintained the pressure and closed out an 84-58 win that makes it five out of five in the Euroleague this season.
