Liceo - FC Barcelona Lassa: Cup champions! (1-2)

The goals from Panadero and Bargalló, as well as an incredible performance from Sergi Fernández, ensured the Blaugranes won the final for the third consecutive time

After overcoming Reus, only Liceo separated Edu Castro’s men from winning their third consecutive Cup. Goals from Panadero and Bargalló, as well as the great performance from keeper Sergi Fernández (MVP), made it possible. It was the 22nd time Barça Lassa have won the trophy, but if it were not for Fernández, the Blaugranes could’ve been staring at a defeat. Both teams were equal to the other throughout this fascinating duel, with the outcome not decided until the very end.

The intensity and rhythm continued for the whole game, with a plethora of chances at each end. At halftime, the score remained at 0-0, but the Barça goalkeeper was kept on his toes after the break. In fact, he’d already saved Barça three times in the opening half, but was made to work even harder in the second.

Two goals to take the title

Barça were the first to score from a Panadero penalty (0-1, min 27), with Pau Bargalló quickly increasing the lead (0-2, min 30). Thereafter, Fernández stopped practically everything. From penalties to direct fouls, his impossible reflexes kept the Blaugranes in charge. He was unable to do anything when Carlo Di Benedetto  reduced the deficit (1-2, min 37), but still had to be alert as Liceo came on strong in the final stages.
