FC Barcelona beat Sant Hipòlit de Voltregà, 1–0, on Saturday to close out the 2017 calendar year on a high note.

Pablo Álvarez scored the go-ahead goal midway through the second half and Aitor Egurrola made several big saves to keep Barça ahead and help secure the win.

Voltregà threatened repeatedly, but was unable to notch the equalizer, despite playing in front of a raucous home crowd.

The win keeps Barça in the upper part of the standings with 37 points.
