Barça took a big step towards the league title with a thrilling 3-4 win away to Reus on Saturday night. Marc Gual bagged all four Barça goals and will go into their game against second place Liceo in a fortnight with a healthy five point lead at the top of the table.
The game started at a hectic pace with four goals in the first six minutes as Reus pegged back Gual’s openers, but Barça managed to impose some order and after Gual made it 2-3 on 13 minutes, they made plenty of chances before the break to extend their lead, but failed to put them away.
Backed by a noisy home crowd, Reus Deportiu pushed for the equaliser after the break, but some excellent keeping from Egurrola , kept them out and Gual made it four with a free shot on 34 minutes. The hosts pulled one back soon after, but it wasn’t enough and Barça came away with the valuable points.
