The Continental Cup will be decided in the second leg at the Palau Blaugrana after the game at the Ateneu de Sant Sadurní ended without score. Barça piled on the pressure from the start but, time and time again came up against an outstanding Luis Gil in the Noia goal. As the half grew older, the home side started finding their touch, but Sergi Fernandez was just as impressive in nets for Barça.

Not even from the penalty spot could Noia find a way past Fernandez, while Ricard Muñoz and Álvarez both could have scored for Barça had Luis Gil not pulled off even more sensational saves. Noia looked the stronger side at times, and expectations rise with a late power-play, but not even then could the deadlock be broken and it all ended as it had begun. All will be decided when the two teams meet again on Saturday.
