1st roller hockey team

Barça was delayed for an hour on the Barcelona ring-road due to a traffic accident, but that did nothing to unnerve the players.

Beto off to early start

Despite barely having time to warm-up, it only took 40 seconds for Alberto Borregán to score the opener in front of a packed pavilion. Just three minutes later Reinaldo added another from an unchallenged position, and just after the quarter hour mark Panadero scored with a delightfully hit free to make it 3-0 to the visitors.

The three early goals knocked the wind out of Vic, but they gradually started to settle and were able to pull one back through Lucas Ordóñez before the break.

More even second half

The second half was more like the tight end-to-end match we had been expecting, and the fans were incensed when the home team were denied a goal because the referee adjudged the Vic player to have struck the ball with his foot.

But Vic finally got a well deserved goal from Carbó to make it 2-3 with seven minutes to go. The final moments of the game were gripping stuff, with directs frees for both sides going begging. But Barcelona managed to hang on their lead and stay top of the table, level on points with Liceo and Noia.
