Barça Sorli Discau v Reus

Barcelona had nothing to play for, but still took the game seriously, and thanks to their victory the club from Baix Camp has won their first league title in 38 years.

Guard of honour for Liceo

Barça Sorli Discau gave Liceo a guard of honour as they come on the pitch in recognition of their recent European title. But it was the domestic title the visitors were more concerned about, against an FCB side keen to finish the season in style. Mia Ordeig had soon made it 1-0.

Six minutes before the break, Barça youth product Sergio Miras pulled back level, to which Jordi Adroher immediately responded to make it 2-1 at the break.

No speculation

The second half started with Reinaldo García transforming a penalty to make it 3-1, and a minute later Marc Torra smacked the ball past Liceo keeper Malián to as good as scupper their league hopes. The chances started flowing thick and fast for both sides, but Liceo were far from their objective.

Liceo fight back

Liceo pulled one back from the penalty spot, but just as the game had come back to life, Reinaldo made it 6-2 and it was game over. Miras found the net from another penalty, and Josep Lamas scored seconds later, but time had as good as run out. When Mia Ordeig made it 7-4, it was clear that Liceo had fallen at the last hurdle and Reus can celebrate a historic triumph.
