FC Barcelona lost to Vic in the cup final played in Blanes / VÍCTOR SALGADO - FCB

The second title of the season should have been the Continental Cup, but after drawing 0-0 at Noia and then surrendering a 3-1 lead to draw 3-3 at the Palau Blaugrana, the game went into penalties and Barça missed out.

Vic win cup

In the Copa del Rey, Barça made it to the final but failed to defeat Vic when they got there. They had beaten Alcoi 3-2 in the quarter finals and then Voltregà in the semis, 4-3, and had high hopes for the final at the Ciutat Esportiva Blanes, but ended up losing 2-1.

Vic went two-up thanks to goals from Ferran Font and Dava Torres, and although Panadero brought some hope, an equaliser never emerged. Vic’s MVP goalkeeper Carles Grau was largely to ‘blame’ for Barça once again missing out on a trophy that has resisted them since 2012.
