The roller hockey team was crowned champions of Europe in Bassano / VÍCTOR SALGADO - FCB

The FC Barcelona roller hockey team was once again crowned Spanish and European champion, winning four out of six possible trophies, only missing out on the Copa del Rei and Copa Continental.

Super and Intercontinental Cups

The season started with the new-look Super Cup in Reus in Final Four format. Barañ won the final with a golden goal against Liceo scored by the season’s top scorer Pablo Álvarez. Shortly fater the team added the Intercontinental Cup, played at the Palau Blaugrana where they beat Argentine side Petroleros of Mendoza.

Egurrola, king of cups

The club won its 26th OK Liga and the 15th with Aitor Egurrola, the now 35 year old keeper who has a contract until 2017. He has won 56 trophies in all, just two fewer than record holder Beto Borregán. He also became the second player after Sergi Centell-to win ten European Cups after Barça won the title for the 21st time in Bassano.

Same block

After winning the double the year before, the staff decided to stick with the same ten players for the 2014/15 season, It was a risk, as elite sport always demands changes, but the gamble paid off as the team continued to deliver resounding success.
