A born goalscorer, he stands out due to his ability to play in three different positions

The Macedonian Kiril Lazarov was born in 1980 in Sveti Nikole and began his handball career in 1997 at RK Peliester. In 2000 he moved to RK Zagreb for two seasons, before signing for MKB Veszprém. He stayed in Hungary until 2007 when he returned to Zagreb before coming to the ASOBAL league in 2010, when he joined BM Ciudad Real (now Atlético Madrid). Lazarov is also captain of the Macedonian national side.

On 20 July 2013 he signed for FC Barcelona and since then his goals have helped the Club dominate the game both domestically and in Europe. 

Technical profile

Kiril Lazarov is a versatile player who can occupy any of three positions. He is especially dangerous with his shots from wide and his powerful right arm has helped him to become a prolific scorer.
