Barça Lassa pull off an important win at the Palau | PACO LARGO

FC Barcelona Lassa picked up two valuable points thanks to a deserved victory against one of the favourites for this season's VELUX EHF Champions League, Telekom Veszprem.

Xavi Pascual's team started strongly and their defensive strength saw them on top early on. Lazarov opened the scoring and Barça maintained the lead in the early stages.

An excellent display from goalkeeper Gonzalo Pérez de Vargas and the home side's ability to contain their opponents on the counter allowed Barça to go in at half time five goals ahead.

Hungarian side Vedzprem bounced back in the second half and reduced the deficit thanks to their decisiveness in attack. Nevertheless, Barça never waivered and they maitained their advantage to take the victory by three goals.

Barça Lassa are next in action at the weekend when they take on BM Sinfin in the Asobal league.
