Aitor Ariño top scored in the game / VICTOR SALGADO - FCB

FC Barcelona Lassa handball continue their unstoppable form in the Asobal League. Coach Xavi Pascual took the liberty of resting players such as Jallouz, Sigurdsson and Viran Morros for the trip to Frigoríficos Morrazo with Barça still able to come out winners by a comfortable 12 goal margin. The two sides were the form teams in the league coming into the clash and the contest was well matches in the first half. However, in the second Barça’s quality saw them through.

Saric in goal was one of the outstanding performers of the evening, with a 53.3% success rate. Going forward, Ariño (8 from 10) and Lazarov (7 from 7) were the top scorers for Xavi Pascual’s team. Barça are still unbeaten after 18 games of the season but there was bad news from the clash with Marko Kopljar limping off the court with a knee problem. He will have medical tests on Thursday to gauge the extent of the problem.

Barça’s next objective comes in Europe where they have two Champions League games coming up as they defend their first place in the group. Their opponents will be Pick Szeged and Kristianstad.
