The gap in form between Barça and PSG is enormous at the moment. The Blaugrana, who were extremely solid on defence thanks to performances from Karabatic, Sorhaindo and Viran Morros, had a 19-9 lead at the break and a crushing advantage of 38 to 28 at the end of the match.

Devastating start

PSG dominated in the first four minutes of the match. They managed to grab a 1-3 lead but the game quickly changed once the Blaugrana got into gear. The home team fired for eight unanswered goals in six minutes to make it 9-3. The 6,702 spectators at the Palau Blaugrana cheered their team on as the two sides went to the break with 19 to 9 on the scoreboard.

Barça’s reliable defence

Keeping up the intensity from the first half wasn’t going to be easy. PSG edged closer to Barça’s lead with six goals in six minutes (23-15), but the counterattacks led by Noddesbo and Tomás kept the Parisians at bay.

The final minutes of the match showcased the home team’s solid defence. The Blaugrana managed to preserve their 10-goal lead thanks to performances from Karabatic, Sorhaindo and Viran Morros. With this win, Barça secure the top spot of their Champions League group.
