Ahead of tomorrow’s match against Amaya Sport, at 20:00 at the Palau Blaugrana, Pascual held a press conference where he talked about the upcoming game and his players’ performance in the Cup final. Pascual said that “after a defeat it’s important to win a game to recuperate. We have to keep on working to be at a higher level.”

San Antonio and match schedule

The Azulgranas are unbeaten and solitary leaders of the Asobal League after 20 matches. Their next challenge will be Amaya Sport San Antonio.

According to Pascual, the Barça squad has nothing but respect for the Navarre side: “the match against San Antonio is a very important challenge, we’re two ahead of Atlético, we must continue winning points. San Antonio always plays well at the Palau.”

On the match schedule, the Barça manager said, “we have four games against complicated rivals: San Antonio, Montpellier, Valladolid and the return leg against Montpellier.”

Pleased with his team’s attitude

“I’m satisfied with how they gave everything they had in the Cup. We have things to improve upon, but the team had the right attitude,” said Pascual when asked about the King’s Cup final.

“It’s true that we didn’t play well. We had an exceptional rival in front of us, Atlético Madrid. They are our biggest rivals here [Asobal League] and in Europe,” said Pascual.
