Nagy aixeca trofeu Champions

The eighth European Cup trophy in the history of the handball section found it’s way into the Museum in May. Xavi Pascual’s team defeated Ciudad Real in the Final in Cologne, finally removing the thorn from the previous season. Great happiness that accompanied the experience of winning the League title five years on. The eighteenth League title for the Barça handball team was obtained, mathematically, with a win at Naturhouse from La Rioja.

Thus, Barça won the 2 major titles in the10/11 season, but they had no luck, either in the Spanish Cup or the Asobal Cup.

Ending the year with a title

Iker Romero left the Club in the summer, through the front door. Pascual’s new project began hot and cold: victory in the Pyrenees League, and defeat in the Super Cup against Athletico Madrid. From then on, Barça Regal have won every game in the League (including a vital win away at Athletico) and have maintained steady progress in the Champions League. On top of that they ended 2011 in the best way possible: winning the Asobal Cup in Leon.
