Victor Tomás aixeca la segona SuperGlobe del Barça / IHF

The World Club Cup was one of the biggest challenges facing Xavi Pascual’s side. FC Barcelona went into the tournament in Qatar as favourites, being the reigning champions. That honour was well deserved as they showed on the court, claiming the SuperGlobe trophy once again.

The victory against Qatari side Al-Saad by 36-24 in the final on 12 September was the second such World Club Cup title for the club and the third of the season for a team that had already claimed the Catalan Super Cup title and the Asobal Super Cup. Victory in Qatar was a great boost for a team who continued to aspire to win everything in the season.
