Ferrao celebrating the first goal of the game | SANTA COLOMA

Barça Lassa took the victory at Catgas Energía Santa Coloma thanks to a goal from Esquerdinha with only 45 seconds left until the end of the game. The win enabled the visitors to stay on top of the table with nine points from a possible nine.

Intense start

The match began with some good work by both sides but Barça were the first to penetrate a tight home defence, Ferrao taking advantage of a good pass inside Aicardo to open the scoring in the fourth minute.

Pol Pacheco soon restored parity, bringing the hosts level, before ex-Santa Coloma player, Rafa López, crashed the ball against the post for the Blaugrana. A delightful passage of play between Roger and Esquerdinha allowed another former Catgas star, Adolfo, to put Barça Lassa into the lead again just before the quarter hour.

Swift reaction

Barça were on the front foot at the beginning of the second half but a great pass by Catgas’ Corso allowed Del Moral to equalise again on the counterattack.

Both goalkeepers, Paco Sedano and Cristian, looked to have earned their respective sides a share of the points, but right at the death Esquerdinha scored the goal to seal the win for Andreu Plaza’s side.
