Palma Futsal 2-5 FC Barcelona Lassa: Off to a flying start

The blaugrana take their chances when they need to and claim a win in the first game of their quarter final series against the Balearic Islanders

Barça Lassa are on the verge of semi-final qualification after a convincing win in Mallorca on Friday evening. They took a serious approach to the game right from the off and took their chances in front of goal to go 1-0 in the best-of-three quarter final series, with Barça now able to seal qualification in game two on May 19 at the Palau Blaugrana (9.15pm CET).

Paco Sedano’s outstanding performance in goal was another key factor behind the win, especially as Palma Futsal made a strong effort to get back into the game towards the end.

It wasn’t until six minutes from the end that the LNFS top scorer Paradynski finally got the ball past the FCB stopper, and a last minute penalty closed the gap even further, but that merely knocked a minor dent into Barça's five-goal lead and the semi-finals of the Spanish League Championship are now just one won away.
