Barça have cut down Movistar Inter’s lead at the top of the LNFS, and they have done it in remarkable style. The side from Alcalá de Henares had not lost all season, but were thumped 7-1 at the Palau Blaugrana on Saturday, cutting the difference between the two sides to four points.

It was the perfect way for Barça bounce back from Copa del Rey semi-final defeat to Palma Futsal, as a packed pavilion was provided with some absolutely wonderful afternoon’s entertainment.

Dyego got FCB off the mark after just 30 seconds, and after Saad added another on six minutes it was plain sailing from then on. Bateria and Ferrao then added numbers three and four and there was still time for Sergio Lozano to add a fifth before the break.

The second half was a less fluid affair, but Barça made it six when visiting keeper Daniel knocked the ball in his own net and then Wilde finished off the job. Rafael Rato did get a late consolation goal for Movistar Inter, but the remaining minutes were more about Barça coming close to expanding on the rout. An incredible game, and Barça’s title hopes are very much back on track!
