Gabriel, Bateria and Dyego celebrating against Peníscola / MIGUEL RUIZ-FCB

Hard work gives its rewards and with this victory over Peníscola RehabMedic, Barça Lassa go into the break for the European Championships in Serbia on a winning note. With a month ahead of them without competitive futsal, Marc Carmona’s team have put together an impressive run of 11 games without defeat.

Good work from Gabriel, Lin and Dyego brought the first goal of the evening. Batería added a second with a good finish from inside the area. A third came from Lin to put Barça Lassa in the driving seat against a Peníscola who found it hard to make headway against an organised home defence. In goal for Barça, Paco Sedano was only called into action in the early stages to make a great save from Verdujo’s penalty.

The crowd in the Palau Blaugrana did not have to wait long into the second half to celebrate another goal - Batería adding his second of the evening with an excellent finish. The visitors found the net for the first time in the evening with a goal from Juanqui but a comeback was never really on the cards. Marc Carmona’s team, without the injured Sergio Lozano, Ferrao and Aicardo, rounded off the win wiht a goal from Wilde.

The three points maintain Barça Lassa in second place in the table behind leaders Inter Movistar. The league programme is now on hold until the 19/20 of February when the blaugranes take on Santiago.
