Bateria and Aicardo celebrate against Jaén / VICTOR SALGADO - FCB

FC Barcelona have recorded another win the Palau, this victory coming against a highly rated Jaén side who last season won the Cup and who had only conceded six goals in their first three league games of the campaign. The team with the best goalscoring record in the league, Barça, came out on top to hand Marc Carmona his 200th victory in the league as blaugrana boss.

FC Barcelona Lassa put the much vaunted Jaén defence to the test straight away, Ferrao striking the woodwork early on. The opening goal came after four minutes and it was the Brazilian who scored it, taking advantage of an assist from Bateria. Wilde and Dyego then combined to double their lead, the latter getting the final touch. Then, before half time, Bateria scored the goal of the evening to give Carmona’s side a 3-0 lead at the break.

Jaén pulled one back at the start of the second half, Buendia with a great goal giving his side hope. However, Barça were patient and kept the visitors at bay in the Palau before Ferrao scored another to make it 4-1 and end any hopes of a Jaén comeback. Wilde and Lozano added two more for the blaugranes before the final whistle to give Barça an impressive 6-1 victory.
